DIARY OF STOCKING THE TANK

I had been fishless cycling for 5 weeks for a female betta tank. It was not working so I decided to try BioSpira, but then, then girls arrived unexpectedly...

5/25/05: Due to unforseen circumstances, the girls arrive early but the tank is still not cycled.
Here they are still in the bag. Note their natural pale coloring. However, a couple of them have developed stripes since taken from the store.
The two dominant females are getting more agitated. Note the coloring change. The alpha is on the right and her white egg is visible. She's not very happy.
The situation has now escalated and fins have been nipped. They were getting along in the large store tank but now is time to separate. It's too close for comfort.
